Accessibility

Our commitment

CollegeSource is committed to ensuring its website and products are accessible to all users. We continually strive to improve accessibility and Section 508 compliance for all users. If you have questions or suggestions on access improvement, please contact us via the widget on the bottom of your browser.

Accessibility documentation

To demonstrate our ongoing commitment to product compliance with Section 508, we maintain two types of accessibility documentation:

  • VPAT (or “Accessibility Conformance Report”)
  • Accessibility Roadmaps

CollegeSource® Online Accessibility Roadmap

TES®, the Transfer Evaluation System Accessibility Roadmap

uAchieve® Degree Audit, Planner, and Schedule Builder Accessibility Roadmap

Testing documentation

Testing documentation presents the evaluation methods and results of validated testing. For example:

  • We support all screen readers
  • Testing software utilized includes Job Access With Speech (JAWS), NVDA, and Voice Over

View the Transferology® & uAchieve® Testing Strategy document. (Applicable to uAchieve 5.0 and 4.5.4.x.)

Accessibility FAQs

Do the technologies and services CollegeSource offers adhere to Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act?

Yes, all our products are developed according to Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 standards. Areas where we fall short of those standards are outlined in the VPATs and Accessibility Roadmaps for each product.

Do CollegeSource applications conform with accessibility standards set forth in the WCAG 2.1?

Yes, we follow WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards when developing all our products. Any known issues or places where we fall short of those standards are outlined on the Accessibility Roadmaps page along with approximate timelines for resolution.

Are CollegeSource applications ADA compliant?

While the Americans With Disabilities Act (or ADA) broadly prohibits discrimination based on disability, we strive for Section 508 compliance since this specifically focuses on federal agencies to make their electronic and information technologies accessible to people with disabilities.

I need a VPAT, but...where do I start?

Start by answering these questions:

  • What CollegeSource product(s) does your school use?

Each product has a separately maintained VPAT.

  • What are the version number(s)?

VPATs and other accessibility documentation are version-controlled—that is, updated with every release.

  • Navigate to the list of product VPATs listed in the section above.

The selected document will automatically download or open in a new browser tab. Share, print, or save as a PDF. (If the VPAT for an earlier release of uAchieve® Degree Audit, Planner, or Schedule Builder is needed, please contact accessibility@collegesource.com.)

What screen readers do you support?

We support all screen readers. Software testing may utilize the following: Job Access With Speech (JAWS), NVDA, and Voice Over.
