The information provided below is intended as a guide for prospective students to view course equivalencies that have been previously evaluated and accepted at Johnson & Wales University. Courses are evaluated for the selected program of study in the catalog year of enrollment. We provide no guarantee that a particular course will be accepted. Final determination of transferability is determined by Student Academic Services after submitting an application for admission. The evaluation system is subject to frequent revisions and equivalents may change. Re-evaluations may occur if the program changes or enrollment is deferred. Only courses that have a grade of “C” or better with a numeric value of 2.00 are considered for transfer.
Step 1: Determine what courses you’ll need to complete for your program by reviewing the course Catalog for your enrollment term or your degree audit.
Step 2: Select the school(s) you previously attended.
Step 3: Locate the courses you’ve completed with a grade of "C" or better (numeric value 2.0).
Step 4: Add the courses to your list.
Step 5: Compare your list to the courses in your selected program of study to determine what courses you MAY receive credit for. The system will also tell you which courses you’ll still need to complete at Johnson & Wales University.
Note: In addition to its liberal transfer credit policies, Johnson & Wales University maintains articulations with other institutions, as well as a Guaranteed Admission Program. For example, students with awarded Associates Degrees in Culinary Arts or Baking and Pastry Arts, may be able to transfer directly into certain programs with junior status.
Equivalencies shown are in semester credits.
