Thank you for exploring our Transfer Evaluation System (TES) tool.
Click on the transfer institution's name to explore all approved equivalencies. If an institution has a link to a "Transfer Guide," this will specify General Education and Core approved transfer courses that are accepted into Biola University programs.
Note: Any course with the subject code "NEW" is only approved for transfer for new students who have not yet enrolled at Biola University. For detailed explanation of course codes read our Transfer Codes Key. Some programs require specific General Education Core courses. To view specific requirements, go to our catalog, find your major and click on the "Requirements" tab.
If your school or class is not listed on this tool please contact us. We are happy to review the course for you. If you are a prospective new student, email us at transfer.consultant@biola.edu. If you are a continuing student, please fill out this Transfer Petition Form.
Quick Transfer Code Guide (for more detailed explanation visit our Transfer Codes Key):
"C" = Core/General Education (ex: PSYC C1V counts for Behavioral Science Core/GE)
"X" = Major Elective (ex: PSYC X1MJ counts toward the major elective requirement for Psychology majors)
"T" = General Elective (ex: PSYC T100 counts toward total number of credits completed, but does not fulfill a degree requirement)
"NEW" = Core Requirement for New Students only, NOT continuing students (ex: NEW N1V fulfills Behavioral Science Core/GE only for new students)
Please note: These equivalency lists do not include credit conversion from quarter system to semester. If you attended an institution on the quarter system 1 quarter system credit=0.667 semester credits. Depending on the requirement, transfer from a quarter system institution may leave you with credits to make up in order to graduate from Biola.
