Please note not all courses or institutions may be included in our database but will still be awarded credit if they meet our transfer requirements. Rollins will accept most transfer credit for courses completed at regionally accredited institutions if they meet the below criteria.
• Coursework must be from a regionally accredited higher education institution.• Credit is awarded for courses completed with a grade of “C-“ or higher.
• Courses listed as “1XX” or “2XX” do not have direct equivalencies and transfer to Rollins as general elective credit.
The Rollins curriculum is divided into three components: general education requirements, major requirements, and general electives. Students must complete one course in each of the general education required areas for the College of Liberal Arts (CLA), as noted with the below designations:
Writing - WCMP; Mathematical - MCMP; Ethical - ECMP; Foreign Language – FCMP; Intercultural - ICMP
Rollins Foundations in Liberal Arts (rFLA) codes (one each required): Social Science (C), Expressive Art (A), Natural Sciences (S), Humanities (H)
Hamilton Holt School Professional Advancement students are required to complete ENGW 280 Writing in the Liberal Arts within the first four courses and INT 200 Introduction to Liberal Studies within the first six courses. Additionally, all Hamilton Holt School Professional Advancement students who transfer to Rollins without an Associate of Arts degree must complete seven general education courses with the below designations:
Writing Competency (HWRT); Quantitative Thinking - HQT or HMAT; Expressive Arts*- HART; Scientific Perspectives* - HSCI*; Global Citizenship* - HGC; Responsible Leadership & Civic Knowledge* or Social Science* - HLCK or HSOC; Literature* or Humanities* - HLIT or HUM*
*Students must complete an extra general education course from within these requirements.
