All equivalencies require at least a grade of C- or better and final transfer credit will be determined by the Registrar's Office. Almost all courses from accredited 4-year institutions are accepted for credit, as are most associate-degree courses from accredited 2-year institutions. Students can transfer in a maximum of 68 credits from 2-year institutions. If you will be of junior or senior standing when taking a course for transfer from a 2-year institution, or a senior transferring in a course from any school as a part of your final 32 credits, please come to the Registrar's Office (431 Lentz Hall) to complete a petition form prior to registering for the course. Don't see the course you are interested in taking? It may still transfer, come to the Registrar's Office to learn about the approval process.
Courses can transfer in for a maximum of 4 credits. However, if the course you plan to take is less than 4 credits at the other institution, you will receive only the number of credits earned at the other institution. Ex: A 3 credit course at another institution would result in 3 credits transferred back to Carthage.
