Boston University’s transfer equivalency site is intended as a guide for our prospective transfer students. Please read the following information before you continue:

The information in this system is provided as a guide as to how classes at your current or former institution may transfer to Boston University. The fact that a course appears in this list is no guarantee that the course will transfer in your individual case. Additionally, some courses may not appear on this list, but may be eligible for transfer. Please note that all transfer credits transfer into Boston University on a 1:1 ratio, meaning that if a course was taken for 3 credits at your previous institution, it will transfer into BU as 3 credits as well.

The BU Hub, the general education program at Boston University, is an integral component of the undergraduate experience, and the BU Hub Transfer Student Curriculum has been designed specifically for transfer students, to recognize the work you have already done while still providing you with the educational benefits of the Hub program. All of your general education units will be earned at BU. Transfer courses, even those granted course equivalency, do not earn Hub units. For more information, please visit the BU Hub Website.

Final determination of transfer credit acceptance is ultimately made by the respective Department and Division Evaluators and thru the University Registrar upon admittance to Boston University. You must submit course syllabi and sealed official transcripts of all completed coursework before a final determination can be made on credit transfer.
