It is strongly recommended that students consult a UNL Academic Advisor in Biological Sciences while enrolled in their first or second term at Central Community College.

Students interested in pursuing a health profession (medical school, nursing school, physical therapy school, pharmacy school, etc.) will have access to specialized pre-health advising in the Explore Center. Please contact the Explore Center at 402-472-3605 with questions related to transferring to UNL to pursue a pre-health program.

Biological Sciences Advising Notes
Science majors who take almost all of their general education (ACE and CDR) courses prior to transferring to UNL may have a challenging course load at UNL. In those cases, the majority of remaining requirements will be completed through courses in the sciences. Furthermore, the College of Arts & Sciences requires 30 hours of credit at the 300- and 400- level. Of those 30 hours, 13-16 will be completed through courses required in the Biological Sciences major. The remainder can potentially be completed through ACE and CDR requirements.

Students may complete the following ACE and CDR courses at Central Community College: ACE 1, ACE 2, ACE 3, ACE 4, ACE 5, ACE 6, and ACE 7, as well as CDR - Writing, CDR - Math/Science with lab, and CDR - Language.
