TRANSFER PATHWAYS GUIDE: SCHOOL OF JOURNALISM & MASS COMMUNICATION
Drake's School of Journalism & Mass Communication (SJMC) offers several majors (Advertising, Digital Media Production, Magazine Media, Multimedia Journalism, Public Relations, and Strategic Political Communication), which share a common core. Find more details about SJMC majors in the Drake catalog. Drake accepts some DMACC courses to satisfy requirements in the core and in most SJMC majors, which are identified below. Other DMACC coursework may satisfy additional degree requirements; speak to an advisor for more information.

Students are not required to take any or all of these courses in order to transfer to Drake but may use this as a guide to take applicable coursework for these degree programs.
