COLLEGE OF ARTS AND SCIENCES DISTRIBUTION REQUIREMENTS
The College of Arts and Sciences distribution requirements are designed to further the purposes of liberal education by encouraging study in several different areas within the College. All requirements are in addition to University ACE requirements. Consult a UNL Academic Advisor for details.
CDR - WRITING
Choose a second ACE 1 course to fulfill this writing requirement.
CDR - Math/Science with Lab
Select approved courses from biochemistry, biological sciences, chemistry, computer science, geology, meteorology, mathematics, physics and statistics. Must include one lab in the natural or physical sciences. Lab courses may be selected from biochemistry, biological sciences, chemistry, geology, meteorology and physics.
CDR - HUMANITIES
Select an approved course from classics, English, history, literature, philosophy, and religious studies.
CDR - SOCIAL SCIENCES -- PSYCHOLOGY
A Psychology course required for Psychology majors will fulfill the CDR - Social Sciences Requirement.
CDR - Language
Students are strongly encouraged to complete the foreign language sequence in the first 2 years of college. CDR - Language can be met with satisfactory completion of the 4th level (242) of Spanish at IWCC. UNL offers several other options for language study.

A student who has completed the fourth-year level of one foreign language in high school is exempt from the languages requirement.

PSYCHOLOGY CORE REQUIREMENTS
The following courses will fulfill Psychology major core requirements. A maximum of 18 hours in Psychology can be transferred from IWCC into the Psychology major at UNL.
