UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA OMAHA

MATHEMATICS GUIDED PATHWAY [CALC-PRECURSOR] (LATAS TO BS)
This Guided Pathway has been created to support students enrolling at Metropolitan Community College in the Liberal Arts/Academic Transfer (LATAS) Associate in Science (93.0+ Quarter Hours [62+ Semester Hours]) degree program developed with specific courses for Mathematics with the intent to transfer to UNO and participate in the B.S. Mathematics degree program (120 Credit/Semester Hours).
Per UNO's Catalog and University Transfer Credit Policy, sixty-four (64) semester credit hours is the maximum allowed for transfer to most undergraduate UNO colleges from regionally accredited two-year colleges; however, UNO's College of Arts and Sciences Policy overrides this and allows STEM majors in Arts & Sciences (including Biology) to transfer sixty-seven (67) semester credit hours from accredited two-year colleges.

To maximize credit transfer, students are to strictly follow this Guided Pathway. In most cases when followed correctly, students will be able to transfer at least 65 Credit/Semester Hours towards the 120 required Credit Hours. This Calculus-Precursor Guided Pathway is recommended if a student cannot complete MCC MATH 2410 without any pre-requisite MATH coursework. MCC students are encouraged to speak with their MCC academic advisor for further guidance.
For academic advising guidance at UNO, contact the UNO Department of Mathematics Advisor/Academic Coord., Emily Cook, at ecook@unomaha.edu or 402.554.3841.
